Sing and Read to learn English?

Sing and Read Collections I consider to be a blessing in disguise for ages 3-11.  There are a number of Sing and Read Collections presented by Frog Street Press, including Sing and Read Alphabet, Colors, Shapes, Numbers, Nursery Rhymes, and Themes.  I would recommend all of these products for teaching English Second Language students in l'ecole maternal through CE2.  For the older students (CM1-6éme), I have and continue to use all of the Shake and Learn Grammar collections, and the Quirkles Science and Learn Literacy Collection.  Each of these collections come with dynamic lesson plans.

All of the artwork is colorful and exciting.  Everytime I open the flip charts, the children squeal with delight.  The songs are fun, challenging and easy to remember.  The program offers reproducible books that can be brought home for the children to share with their families.  I see great results with these products within a short period of time. They set up a strong foundation for all children to excel and move forward into higher grade levels with great success.  An excellent starter package for PS-CE2 of these collections would include:

  • The Little Book Collection and Music CD
  • Activity Pals if Available
  • Flip Charts
  • Teacher Guide CD Rom
  • Reproducible Little Book CD
  • Alphabet DVD
Also available with most Frog Street Press products are e-stories, overhead projection packages, and interactive software.
